Our mission at Progress Housing Group is to have a positive impact on people and communities by providing high-quality homes, supporting independence and creating opportunities.

We support thousands of people, often the most vulnerable in society, to live healthy, happy and fulfilled lives.

We provide much more than just housing, delivering a hugely diverse range of specialist services to our tenants, customers and communities, all driven by our vision of ensuring everyone has a place to call home and the opportunity to live their best life. With a group income of more than £115m, we are a well-run, financially resilient organisation that employs over 800 colleagues who are committed to our social purpose. With circa 12,000 homes, our Group also provides supported living for people with disabilities or mental health conditions; offers quality homes and services to NHS workers; supports people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness through our charity Key; has a build-for-sale company; and supports older and vulnerable people through our Progress Lifeline service.

We are now looking to appoint a new Non-Executive Director, who will also chair our tenant committee, to ensure that we remain a highly successful housing and services provider as well as an employer of choice. This is an opportunity to enhance your strategic leadership skills in a values-driven organisation where our customers and communities are at the heart of every decision we make.

We welcome applications from a wide range of professional backgrounds and are particularly interested in hearing from those with leadership experience in social housing, with previous experience of chairing committees and lived experience of social housing.

We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive organisation which represents the communities we serve, and this starts with our Board.
