In addition, the successful applicant will act as chair for one of the Group’s tenant committees.

The opportunity
Location: Lancashire (or national with in-person meetings in Lancashire)
Remuneration: £10,112 per annum plus reasonable expenses (board member with committee chair supplement)
Term of office: annual reappointment to a maximum of 6 years, subject to board approval
Estimated time commitment:
- Board meetings - six per year between two and four hours mostly held in Leyland
- Tenant committee meetings - four per year for two hours mostly held in Leyland
- Board away days – currently three-four days per annum including one overnight stay. Locations vary but usually in the North West
- Induction programme – approximately three days spread over the first three-six months. One day in person and the remainder can be completed online or virtually
- Board insight sessions – one per month usually online
- Time to read agenda packs to prepare for meetings
