Desks are available to book at Sumner House and Progress House via the desk booking app.

Please be considerate of your colleagues and cancel desks and rooms that you do not need as soon as possible, preferably at least 24 hours in advance

Leyland House - Centurion Way, Leyland PR26 6TY

  • Desks 17 - 38 at Leyland House are reserved for use by the Customer Contact Centre and Scheduling Teams only.
  • Desks 1 - 6 (in the glass-walled room adjacent to the collaboration booths at the rear entrance/near the toilets) at Leyland House and desk numbers 39 - 41 are available on a first-come, first-served basis — you do not need to book.
  • Meeting rooms and booths with a VC screen are bookable (via Outlook)
  • Free car parking on a first-come, first-served basis.

Progress House - Centurion Way, Leyland PR26 6TZ

  • All desks at Progress House should be booked in advance using the desk-booking app.
  • Meeting rooms and booths with a VC screen are bookable (via Outlook).
  • Free car parking on a first-come, first-served basis.


Sumner House  – 21 King Street, Leyland, PR25 2LW

  • Desks 1 and 4 and 6 - 18 on the ground floor and desks 16-17, 22-25 on the top floor of Sumner House should be booked in advance using the desk-booking app.
  • Non-bookable desks in Sumner House are available.
  • Meeting rooms with a VC screen are bookable (via Outlook).
  • Free car parking available at the rear of Sumner House on a first–come first–served basis. King Street car park (opposite) offers 60 minutes of free parking if you need to drop in. For longer stays, please pop into reception to borrow a free day parking pass. Please be courteous of other colleagues and return the pass at the end of the day. If you have checked with reception and no passes are available, you can claim the cost of parking – currently £3 a day – by submitting a receipt through ITrent.

Desks and/or collaborative spaces are also available at our community centres, independent living schemes, Anchor Court in Darwin, and RWP offices in Leeds and London. More information is available om the intranet.

 

Desk booking app

The desk booking system is available on your phones and iPads as a 'PowerApp,' enabling you to book a desk wherever you are without the need to log in to your desktop! 

  1. Search for PowerApps on your work phone or iPad. 

    If you can't find this, or you are using a personal device, you can also download it free of charge from your app store.

  2. Log in to PowerApps using your PHG network username and password. This will be remembered, so you don't need to enter it every time.

  3. When you open the Power app, you will see your current bookings and an icon to book a desk in the bottom right-hand corner.

  4. Select the office you want to be in, the times you need the desk between, and click 'book desk'.

  5. The booking now also appears on your upcoming bookings page.

  6. If you no longer need to use that desk, you can cancel the booking by clicking the red X.

  • Book in advance if you need to work from a desk for some time. 

  • Make sure you only book a desk for the period required - and cancel if your plans change. 

  • Familiarise yourself with building security protocols—e.g., always carry/wear your ID, and feel confident challenging unfamiliar individuals in workspaces.

  • Be conscious of tailgating - when an individual follows through an open door. 

  • Remember to sign in and sign out on the iPads when entering or exiting the building. Failure to do so presents serious health and safety risks.
