Our passion and purpose inspires everything that we do.
We strive to create a diverse, dynamic and inclusive culture to continue our mission to ensure everyone has a place to call home and the opportunity to live their best life.
Our purpose and values help create a culture of fairness, trust and mutual respect that we are proud of. Everyone plays their part in leadership here, too; it empowers our people and creates a safe space where people feel like they can be themselves and succeed together. And we believe our passion for making a difference brings this all to life.
We are a diverse organisation with six distinct businesses that deliver everything from affordable homes and specialist-supported housing, keyworker accommodation and technology-enabled care services to support people in crisis, facing homelessness and domestic abuse.
What we do - working in our business streams
Concert Homes
Concert Homes, our subsidiary house-building company develops high-quality homes for sale across the North West. We do this by channelling our profit back into providing affordable housing.
Our purpose
Our shared purpose is supporting thousands of people, often the most vulnerable in society, to live healthy, happy and fulfilled lives. It is a big challenge, but one that we rise to as one team.
We deliver a hugely diverse range of specialist services to our tenants, customers and communities, all driven by a strong social purpose and a desire to make a difference.
By joining us, you will bring your skills, talent and expertise to play your part in helping us to:
- tackle the housing crisis and help us to enable people to rent or buy safe and sustainable homes
- provide refuge, safety and support for people experiencing domestic abuse, hardship or homelessness
- find innovative ways to enable people to live independent and fulfilled lives
- champion change and build stable, healthy communities and a fairer, more equitable society.
Our culture
We believe in the power of diversity. The collaboration of passionate people with different backgrounds and perspectives is what makes us strong. That is why we strive to build a culture of inclusion, where all of our employees can feel at home.
We are a ‘one team’ community committed to creating inclusive workspaces and embracing the diversity of backgrounds and perspectives.
We celebrate and maximise the immense contribution and potential that different lived experiences, skills and perspectives can bring.
Valuing diversity of experience is embedded in our governance and strategic decisions, as is the way we shape services and champion positive change, how we support each other and share our unique stories through our inclusion networks, and everyday interaction between colleagues, tenants and customers.
We want every colleague to feel comfortable bringing their whole self to work; our community is built on respect and authenticity.
Our people
Our people say we’re a fantastic place to work. That we are ‘friendly’, they feel 'valued', and they feel that they are empowered to 'make a difference’.
If that sounds like the kind of place you want to work, a new career with us is one you won’t regret.
We know that the contribution of our colleagues, whether delivering exceptional customer-centred services, driving insight-based decisions and continuous improvement, or investing time in a tenant, customer or colleague who needs that extra support, makes a positive difference in people’s lives.
Our colleagues take ownership of customer service, take responsibility for finding resolutions and navigate around obstacles that get in the way.
They are famously ‘proud to be Progress’ - let them tell their story.
Our places
Our places are dynamic and collaborative communities - forget the 9-5; we create agile spaces and offer flexible ways of working that help you to grow, thrive and make your best contribution.
With agile working at the heart of our culture as a collaborative and innovative organisation, we believe that work is something you do, not somewhere you go.
We encourage flexible working relationships within teams that enable positive outcomes built on trust, freedom and great communication.
Many of our roles do not work within a fixed location or start times.
And whilst customers and tenants remain at the heart of what we do, we will empower you through technology to decide when, how and where you work.
For those front-facing roles that require a more regular pattern of work, we offer other ways of achieving work-life balance through offering part-time hours, flexible working options where possible, a generous annual leave package, and policies to support family life outside of work.
We tap into technology, innovation and the know-how of all our colleagues to work greener and smarter, not harder.
