Geoff Fogden

Background and experience

Geoff has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career as a quantity surveyor and has held a number of high-level management positions at a number of house-building and construction companies. Since his retirement in 2008, Geoff has sat on the Board of a market residential and commercial development company. Geoff’s previous roles include Group Managing Director, Regional Chairman, Group Operations Director and Commercial Director.

Geoff has been appointed to lead the Group’s subsidiary specialising in the development of homes for outright sale due to his skills, experience and understanding of the operating environment. In his previous roles, Geoff was responsible for advising the Board on house-building-related issues, business acquisition, financial planning and cash flow, land purchase, construction, business planning and management accounts.

In addition, Geoff has sat as Chairman and member of a number of sub-committees relating to the construction industry including the NHBC Council and Standards Committee and Home Builders Federation.

Skills

In addition to his technical knowledge, Geoff’s skills include leading and motivating teams, strategic thinking, commercial focus, development of interpersonal relationships, finance, strategic planning and process development.

Personal interests

Geoff’s personal interests include fell walking, golf and swimming.
