Responsibilities

The Business Assurance Team delivers critical support services across the Group, including internal audit, fraud, insurance, risk management, business continuity, data protection and data assurance.

Background and experience

Gemma began her career in local government, working for Lancashire County Council and Lincolnshire County Council within internal audit teams. Gemma then worked in private practice, providing assurance-related services to clients in the private, public, charity and social housing sectors before moving to Progress Housing Group.

Skills

Gemma is a chartered internal auditor, qualified through the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. Gemma specialises in risk management and internal controls. Project management, data analysis and process improvements are some of the skills Gemma uses daily.

Personal interests

Gemma loves animals, live music and food. She enjoys walking her dogs, attending music gigs and festivals and spending time with family and friends.
